There's literally hundreds of restaurants in Cabo and while you could go to the tourist spots, our favorites are not well known. These are the places we keep going back to.
Brasa Viva
This is one of our favorite sleeper places. It's just in from town and in a quaint building made from former shipping containers. The ambiance is great, easy parking on the street, affordable cocktails and amazing affordable food. We love the steak skewers, empanadas, salads, and the loaded baked potatoes are to die for.
This is the best Italian restaurant in all of Cabo in our opinion. The venue, the food portions are gigantic and they are fantastic. Best value also — you can easily split any of the items on the menu and both of you will eat and still take some food home. They only have two seatings per night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. so make sure you call and get your reservation early. You can also get a reservation through their Facebook page.
This is a very cute and very affordable restaurant that's just a few blocks in town. The service is fantastic and the food is always great. We love the shrimp fettuccine, the bread, appetizers, and there is parking right behind the restaurant.
This is exactly the type of out of the way restaurant that's very small but the food is absolutely amazing and the prices are super affordable. It's a few block walk from the Marina, and they have valet parking. The food options and the portions are amazing — I would highly recommend the pork shank and the service is always great.
If you're looking for a place to just get the most simple and straight up Mexican food then this is for you. It is easily one of the funnest and most casual places on the marina, and you can usually get in easily. They have a thing called a taco-dilla which is to die for, but you can also get wings, pink tacos, and of course one of the best margaritas in the area. Prices are amazingly affordable and you can park either at the mall or the parking lots on either side of the marina.
This is a neat Italian restaurant that's right across the street from the marina. Very romantic setting, and they do have a parking lot directly across the street if you need to park. The prices are a little bit expensive but the food and experience is fantastic. Great lasagna, pastas, and even a good steak if you want one. Many times they will have wonderful music playing with a local artist. Make sure you get a reservation.
This is an out-of-the-way place up by the Costco in the corridor, but it is a very fun local place that has a ton of signs and trinkets all over the walls. It's very affordable with very friendly people where you can throw some horseshoes or get your car washed while you have a meal. Amazing place for a very good burger, a turkey dinner, or old fashioned pot roast with mashed potatoes — super American at-home food at a very reasonable price.
Go here often, and there is valet parking. It's an incredibly affordable location with great seafood dishes and very good steaks. It's in such a unique location that you feel like you're dining in a cave-like environment that's very romantic. A little bit out of the way but very quaint and very nice.
A couple we know from MN owns it — you can park free across the street at the hotel and they'll punch your ticket. Pretty good pizza, more Domino's-like than Chicago or New York style. Great place to catch a MN game if you can't find somewhere to watch it. Very affordable, fast, and you can get a wine for $5 — they will deliver to most of Cabo also. They also have an amazing breakfast menu.
This is also one of our favorites in town — it's more expensive, but the experience, food and service is amazing. Easily walkable from the marina, but it feels like a Vegas-type steakhouse with always great music and the owner comes and sits down with you and greets you. Easily one of the best prime rib, seafood, and one of the only places you can get things like veal in Cabo. They offer valet parking right in front. Make sure you get a reservation.
Up by the Hard Rock which is 15-20 minutes north of Cabo, but right on the beach. Beautiful setting and super high end sushi, where you can pay $22 for a hot dog (not kidding), and the portions are very small. If you like to over-pay for snooty food but want an amazing view and Instagram photos, this is for you.
This is where you go when you want a very Swanky and nice dinner on the beach. The view is amazing, and the beach entertainment during dinner can be quite fun. It is much more expensive but the service is great. We highly recommend the short rib end the shrimp cocktail to start with. The offer VIP parking also. Make sure you get a reservation. Also, if you ask them very nicely you could potentially have them serve you dinner right on the beach. They have been known to set up tables right in the sand which can be incredibly awesome at Sunset with Candlelight.
